The Centre for Digital Excellence and Innovative Sustainable Technologies (DOIT Centre), has open its doors at Turistica. The Centre brings together students, researchers, public institutions and the tourism industry to advance modern tourism, providing them with access to research and digital equipment, laboratory facilities, and expert support for measurements, pilot projects and the development of new tourism experiences.

Welcome Days 2026

Dear first-year students, welcome to the new 2026/2027 academic year and to the UP Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica! First-year students of the Tourism Enterprise Management programme, carried out in English language, and Erasmus students should meet us at the Faculty in Portorož on Thursday, 1 October 2026.

Orientation days 2026

UP’s Orientation Days are the perfect opportunity to make sure that you are prepared for the next academic year and familiar with the basics of student life and life on the Slovene coast. It is also the best way to make new friends and create a strong connection with your fellow students.

StartUP 2026

StartUP 2026 is a social event organised by the University of Primorska to bring students together at the start of the new academic year. Discover a wide range of extracurricular activities, meet new people and enjoy a relaxed day by the sea. The event will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Žusterna Seaside Park in Koper.

Call for the acquisition of micro-credentials

In the academic year 2026/2027, the University of Primorska is publishing its first call for enrolment in short educational programmes and training courses, upon completion of which participants obtain a micro-credential. Applications by 15 August 2026.

Awards and Recognitions 2026

On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, Turistica held a ceremonial award presentation during its Academic Assembly, recognising staff members and students whose work, achievements, and dedication have made a significant contribution to the faculty’s development and visibility both nationally and internationally.
